Eight Arkansas high schools that were honored Wednesday as some of the state?s highest performing campuses use a variety of approaches to promote achievement. (Arkansas Democrat-Gazette Northwest Edition)

Flippin High School honored (Baxter Bulletin)

"We I.D. our strengths and use them," said Flippin Schools Superintendent Dale Query. "We also I.D. our weaknesses and find ways to attack them. There is constant re-evaluation." This is the attitude, according to Query, that led researchers from the University of Arkansas to select Flippin High School as one of eight "Best Practice" high schools in the state of Arkansas.
